UAE Licence Amendment: Activities, Name and Company Changes
An amendment changes something already on the licence. Dubai mainland publishes that request separately from renewal. The documents and any outside approval follow the change you are making and the authority that licensed the company.

Changes people ask for
Invest in Dubai lists “Request to amend a trade licence” as its own service. These are the changes an amendment usually has to name. They do not share one approval path.
Activity
Add or remove an activity. The name has to match the authority’s own list, and some activities need an outside approval.
Trade name
A name change is its own amendment. It is not completed by renewing the existing licence.
Manager or director
The person on the licence changes. Identity documents already reviewed stay on the person record.
Shareholder or owner
An ownership change can also change the constitutional documents. Vi looks at the memorandum already stored.
Legal form or capital
Only where that authority allows the change. The path is not assumed to match an activity amendment.
Address or premises
A move can require a new premises record. Whether it does depends on the authority, not on a shared checklist.
Match the activity on business activities before adding it. People already on the file stay in people and visas. The licence file stays in documents. Renewal of an unchanged licence is trade licence renewal.
