UAE VAT Return Filing Support

There is no single VAT return date for every registrant. The Federal Tax Authority’s filing page, updated 16 May 2024, says a registered person files the return and pays the related VAT within 28 days from the end of that person’s tax period.

The period comes first

The FTA describes the standard tax period as three calendar months, ending on the date the FTA assigns. It may assign a different period, including a monthly one. The return for that period reports sales and other outputs, and expenses and other inputs. A payment that is due is due by the same deadline as the return.

On the company

A recorded VAT registration and Tax Registration Number. Vi does not ask you to upload the registration certificate again when it is current.

Still needed for this period

The period dates, sales and purchase information, adjustments that apply, and your review before a provider files. A filed acknowledgement is evidence of submission. It is not a calculation of the VAT.

Track the return without inventing the date
  1. 1

    VAT registration

The recorded number and status identify the registrant.

  2. 2

    This period

Start, end, and the 28-day due date are stored from the assigned period.

  3. 3

    Records

Sales, purchases, and adjustments are requested for this period only.

  4. 4

    Your review

You approve the file before filing.

  5. 5

    External filingPreview

The provider files on EmaraTax. AskVi does not file the return.

The submission evidence is kept against the period.

Getting the number is VAT registration. The company file is in company management and documents.
