UAE Trade Licence Renewal: Documents and Next Steps
A licence is renewed by the authority that issued it. Dubai mainland renewal is a request on Invest in Dubai. A free-zone or other-emirate licence is renewed with that authority. The Department of Economy and Tourism does not renew every UAE licence.

Dubai mainland, then everyone else
Invest in Dubai publishes “Request to renew trade licence”. The renewal form asks for the licence number or business name, plus an email and a phone number for updates. That is the start of a Dubai mainland renewal. It is not a list of every paper a free zone, another emirate, or an outside regulator may still require.
Asked only if missing
A lease or other premises record, an establishment or immigration item, an activity approval, or a change that belongs on a separate amendment. The authority’s own service decides which of these apply.
Keep the file with company management, documents, and people and visas. The mainland route itself is on Dubai mainland. A change of activity, name, or people is a licence amendment, not this renewal.
