Meydan Free Zone: Company Setup, Costs and Requirements
Meydan Free Zone licenses an LLC-FZ in Dubai. Its own pages put a regular licence at AED 12,500 before visas. That figure is a starting package, not the total for every founder.
Two licence routes
Meydan publishes a regular licence and a Fawri licence. The regular route is the broader one: 2,500+ activities, and room for more than one shareholder. Fawri is published for one person who is the shareholder, manager, director and beneficial owner, with 1,800+ activities and one free amendment in the first year. Meydan says Fawri is issued in under 60 minutes and starts from AED 15,000.
A regular setup, on the cost article updated 30 June 2026, starts from AED 12,500 with no visa allocation. That package is the LLC-FZ licence, up to three activity groups, and a flexi-desk with a lease agreement. Visa allocation, the visa itself, extra activities and a larger workspace are separate.
This may fit if
- The work sits in Meydan’s activity list and does not need a regulator Meydan cannot clear.
- A flexi-desk is enough premises for the licence you want.
- You can add visa capacity later, up to the six allocations Meydan publishes.
Check carefully if
- You need a warehouse, a factory, or a dedicated office from day one. Those are upgrades.
- You need several shareholders on the faster Fawri route. Meydan describes Fawri as a one-person company.
- You expect the licence to authorise mainland trade by itself. Meydan advertises an NOC for mainland premises. Whether you can sell to mainland customers still depends on the activity and the approval that activity needs.
- You treat a bank account as part of the licence. Meydan sells bank-account assistance as an optional service. The bank still decides.
Published costs
Figures below are Meydan’s own published prices, read on 1 October 2026. “Starting from” is the base. It is not a customer’s total. The pages do not state VAT. A renewal tariff is not published as its own line, so renewal should be confirmed from a current quotation. Meydan does say multi-year setups are discounted by up to 15%. The year-by-year amounts were not in the readable text.

- Submit a passport copy and the KYC Meydan asks for, and pay.
- Receive the licence. Meydan says a standard digital licence is within a day, and Fawri is under 60 minutes.
